Hi, I'm Eunice, a Spanish-Filipina traveler who splits her time between hosting surf retreats in the Philippines and wandering the world in between seasons. I'm happiest when I'm near the ocean, eating local food, meeting like-minded people, and learning something new.

I speak English, Spanish, Filipino, and Dutch. I’m quite laid-back, but organised, and not afraid of physical work...Whether it’s cooking, cleaning up, helping with guests, supporting daily operations, language teaching, or creating content, I’m happy to contribute wherever needed.

I used to be a Couchsurfer (2009 - 2019). And now I’m on Workaway to continue that experience: learn from other cultures, exchange stories, and offer whatever help I can. If your place has good people, a sense of community, and is close to nature, I’ll feel right at home.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a mixed background that’s been shaped by travel, community work, and a lot of hands-on experience.

Hospitality and Retreat Hosting:
I currently host island retreats in the Philippines, where I handle guest care, housekeeping standards, scheduling, simple logistics, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for international travelers. This includes room turnovers, organising shared spaces, managing small groups, and making sure everyone feels comfortable and looked after.

Cleaning and Housekeeping
Because I run my own retreats, I’m very familiar with the rhythm of cleaning, preparing rooms, managing laundry, and keeping communal spaces tidy and calm. I take pride in maintaining a space that feels fresh, warm, and ready for guests.

Language and Communication
I’m a language and communication specialist by profession. And still give private classes to students wanting to improve their business com skills, and to those preparing for language exams.

Content Creation
I create content for my retreats, including simple reels, photography, storytelling, and social media posts. Nothing too flashy, just real, warm, travel-oriented content that resonates with island life and slow-travel communities.

Healthcare Background
Before all this, I worked as a nurse, so I have a solid foundation in care, responsibility, and staying calm under pressure. This background helps me stay organised, attentive, and thoughtful in any work environment.

Overall, I’m a reliable, adaptable person who enjoys contributing to a community. I’m comfortable with both physical tasks and people-focused roles, and I’m always happy to help where needed.

You’ll usually find me reading something outdoors, learning a new craft, or chasing small adventures around the coastline. I love surfing, long walks, markets, slow mornings with coffee, and exploring places through their food.

I enjoy board games (especially anything strategic or word-based), journaling, photography, and learning bits of the local language wherever I go. I’m also happy joining group dinners, cooking for everyone, or sharing stories from my travels.

I’m easygoing, clean, and respectful of shared spaces. I value community but also know how to give people space when they need it. Mostly, I’m just here to learn, help, and experience a new part of the world in a meaningful way.
