Hi). My name is Oleh.
I am a designer and art director born in Ukraine in 1978. Since 2022 I've been traveling around Portugal and learning its culture and people. I have been hard of hearing since childhood, wear a hearing aid, and specialize in coloring illustrations for children and adults. I also love to work with my hands, create something unusual in object design, and love nature and animals. I registered on Workaway to meet interesting places and people. I also design websites and can help homeowners beautifully present the history of their home and the place in which it is located. Portugal is a wonderful country and I want as many people as possible to know about it.

As a designer and artist, I have spent my life making things, designs, concepts, illustrations, and paintings. I am also not afraid of working with my hands and there are many things I have done with my hands, from furniture, tables, and chairs to helping around the garden in the form of pruning trees and clearing garbage. I've even worked on a home construction site.
Below I list my skills that I can be helpful to you with.
- I am skilled at creating websites. Perhaps your home or the area in which your home is located needs a beautifully designed promotional page or website that colorfully tells the story of your place, your home, and yourself as the owners of that home. You may be interested in using my skills to create and present a beautiful story about the place where you currently live and the area in which your home is located. I can help do this by creating a full-service website: from domain name registration, design development, font selection, photos, descriptions, and everything you need to make a complete business page of your home, its history, and its locality. I love showing Portugal, I love showing beautiful places.
- I can conduct or teach you and your guests art therapy, and try different techniques that aim at relaxation. I can also give workshops for your guests related to art therapy. This helps to know yourself more deeply, to loosen up, to develop and creative and imaginative skills.
- I can paint pictures in my style that will decorate the walls of your home or become gifts for your friends and guests.
- I can help around the house.
- I can help in the garden.
- I am not afraid to work with my hands in some construction-related activities.
- I have a car and I can sometimes run some errands related to bringing something or driving it. The car is small (Smart), but if you need any help related to bringing something, or driving something, it would not be a problem for me (within reasonable limits).
- Maybe you have some kind of business idea or an already established business that needs a nice decoration. For example, you make sauces or produce your own wine. I can draw wine labels, I can make a website, I can help with printing design, can make business cards, and I can design social media and pages completely turnkey. It's called branding.
- Perhaps you are looking for some ideas on how to utilize the space you have. Perhaps you are looking for some idea for a business. Perhaps you are looking for some ideas for turning the place into a recreational facility for your visitors. Perhaps you need to put together walks or game trails that will help you get to know more about the place where your home is located. Thereby increasing its appeal to other tourists and your visitors. Perhaps you are looking for some way to come up with something that will increase the value of the place you live in. I can help you do that.
- I can teach you how to work on a Mac. I can teach how to work in graphics programs (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator). I can teach how to work on an iPad, in various graphics programs such as Procreate. I can teach how to work in Word, Excel, and Google Documents. Teach how to work with any programs that are computer-related in one way or another.
- I can teach you how to work with blockchain. I can tell you what cryptocurrencies are. I can tell you how to work with them. I can teach you how to digitize and sell your art on the blockchain. I can teach you what NFT is. I can teach you the basics of blockchain literacy. I can teach you what cryptocurrencies are. How to use them. What to do with them. And how they can be used in your work and your business.
- You may need help selecting references for the interior of your home. You may want to do some landscaping or beautify the surrounding area in some way. I have experience in designing items for interior design and a little experience in landscape design. I used to do landscaping designs for homestead areas, as well as creating house concepts and design concepts for the surrounding areas of the house. You might find some of those skills useful in this line of work.
- I can teach you how to use smartphones, tablets, and gadgets. I can help you set up some things related to smartphones. Maybe you have some needs in installing an operating system (Mac OS, Windows), setting up some programs, and installing them. I have qualifications as a computer systems setup wizard.
- I know how to prepare various sauces based on piri-piri hot peppers. I have experience in developing recipes for various sauces. Perhaps you will be interested in creating some sauces or some recipes based on vegetables, products that grow on your plot.
- I love delicious food and can teach you how to cook authentic Ukrainian dishes that you can enjoy yourself, or share with your guests. I have access to many recipes for my national Ukrainian cuisine, ranging from the famous Ukrainian "borscht", and "varenyky", to some national salads and dishes from Ukrainian national cuisine.
- If you need to create some unique things unique to your home. For example, you want to design a collection of silk scarves for your guests or friends. I can design such scarves with the national patterns of Portugal or Ukraine. This is called merch (merchandising). It is something that you can sell on your website as part of your culture, your home, your business, your beauty. Something that is unique to you as a homeowner.
- If you have a pottery studio in your home, I can be helpful in designing a collection of pottery, beautiful raku-style plates and bowls, and Japanese tea bowls. I can create a collection of pottery that will delight your home, your guests, and your family, or just be a nice gift for your clients and loved ones.
- I can design jewelry and work a little with stones and wood. Perhaps you once had a dream of learning how to do this. I can share my knowledge and examples. Or design such jewelry or a collection for you.

I wear a hearing aid. In some cases, I use an interpreter or text on my phone to help me understand what is being said to me. I am more introverted than extroverted. I am calm, not prone to conflict, friendly.
