Hi!!
My name is Nina, I'm 19 and was born and raised in Brooklyn NY, but spent my summers growing up in Europe. I am fluent in English & German, with level A2 in Spanish.
I graduated high school 2 years ago and took a gap year, before starting college. I used the time to live in Bilbao, Spain for a few months, teaching English and taking Spanish classes. Afterwards I backpacked parts of Europe, before traveling to Hawaii, working on farms & exploring the islands with a friend.

Now, after my first year of college, I am using the summer to earn some money and then explore more, hopefully in Spain. I think of myself as a kind and open-minded person, who enjoys meeting other people. I’ve been babysitting from an early age on, have worked in customer service for the last 3 years (in an arts non-profit, and as a server in restaurants) and enjoy team work.

In my free, non-traveling time I enjoy playing soccer or other outdoor sports, go to the beach, play cards or socialize otherwise with friends, take long walks, or do pottery (wheel throwing).

I am hoping to be with people this summer, where I can share my skills, while also learning from others, like more of the Spanish language.
I am excited!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- Childcare
I love kids all ages, and have been working as a babysitter since I am 12 years old. The children were anywhere between 1 and 10 years old and I was inventing & playing games, doing excursions, walking dogs, assisting in homework, prepping dinner, cleaning up & bed time. I easily grow close to the kids and enjoy their different personalities.

-Serving (waitress) / Customer Service.
This past summer I worked full time for 3 months as a server at a popular local Ice Cream Creamery. We were given a lot of freedom but also responsibility to manage the store. I took, prepared & served orders, did the cash register, prepared ice cream cakes, cleaned, opened up & closed the store. Dealing with customers was always important and something I enjoyed!

-Teamwork
I enjoy people and working in teams. I’ve played team sports recreationally and competitively – it taught me the importance of communicating, trusting, listening, and I loved the comradery that comes with it. I also led team-building activities and introductions at our high school for incoming Freshman.

-Organization
Back home in NYC, I volunteered for a non-profit organization that runs kids after school programs, art events, fundraisers, gallery openings, etc. The variety of skills I learned from that community is something I'm happy to share with people/families.

In the summers I often helped out at a friend’s farm in the Bavarian Mountains, cleaning out the cows barn, feeding the calves, guiding the cattle back from the meadows etc. I am happy to get my hands dirty and love being outside.

-Drivers License (automatic car).
I have a drivers license and have driven for 3+ year.
