My name is Nicolas SOREL, I am 21 years old and I am currently a third-year student at the INSA Lyon engineering school, the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Lyon in France, doing my first year of specialisation in the Mechanical Engineering department. I also have a full driving license.

I have always had a passion for sports cars and motorsports in general, and as I am determined to work in these fields in the future, being able to speak English fluently is one of the most important aspects of my future career. Even though my English level is theoretically good enough for my future engineering degree, I have always wanted to improve myself, and this is the reason why I am seeking an international experience during July 2024.

I am also looking for an enriching experience that allows me to learn about a new culture and to meet new people.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have had various professional experiences that have helped me develop important skills.

I worked as a Home Help for Elderly People, providing physical and moral support for people in need, assisting them in their everyday life, so it means I helped them with household chores, making beds, gardening, cooking, and also small maintenance work.

I also worked as a male au pair, taking care of children, playing with them, and preparing meals for them. I loved it as I always match their energy and I enjoy making them laugh!

Moreover, I gained experience as a waiter in a restaurant, including clean the dining room, set the table, serve the meals, clear the tables and wash the dishes. It enabled me to improve my customer service skills, manage orders efficiently, and contribute to a positive atmosphere for customers.

I come from the countryside in the south of France, so I appreciate being around nature. I also love animals (I have two setter laverack). I am also an active person and I really enjoy doing every type of sports (running, tennis, swimming, ...).

I am motivated and reliable, and I appreciate working in a team and learning from others. I believe these qualities are essential for an international work exchange program, and they will enable me to bring my enthusiasm and help as much as I can :)
