Hey there! You found me! Nick!

I am a 28 year old solo traveller from Sydney who is finally taking time off to travel and explore Europe! I'm a filmmaker with a deep passion for storytelling and transporting us to funny and absurd worlds. I have worked in the film industry for many years and have also made many films of my own, collaborating with creatives from all walks of life.

Even though filmmaking is my number 1 passion and what keeps me employed, I have many other things that bring me joy. I am OBSESSED with the outdoors. I love hiking, especially overnight hikes where sometimes I can spend up to a week absorbed in nature. I also love to stay fit and healthy with swimming, running and rock climbing. A special hobby of mine is motorbike riding - I love my little bike to bits and love taking her on big road trips along Australia's coast.

I am now ready to learn new skills and gain new experiences by travelling through Europe this year. The beauty of solo travel is that you can do WHATEVER you want, WHENEVER you want...and meet people from all over the world. I have heard from many friends that doing a Workaway was an absolute highlight from their trip, the ultimate way to meet new people and experience different cultures. I want to make my Workaway experience also a highlight during my trip this year, pushing me out of my comfort zone and into the hands of people who are ready to teach me parts of their culture that is unique to them.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a native English speaker who is more than happy to teach English.

I have done many different jobs in the past, such as art installation work, hospitality work, gardening and barista. As I have also worked on many big movie sets, so I have lots of experience in heavy lifting, working with expensive equipment and constantly being on my feet outdoors in the Australian heat.

I am very good with kids and dogs as I have grown up in a household with younger siblings and a dog. I love to keep my space clean and tidy so am I good cleaner, but I also don't mind getting dirty outdoors and using my hands.

I love to write when I have the time. This usually takes the form of scriptwriting or poetry. I also love to read, mostly about creativity or the arts. I also like to meditate and practice mindfulness.
