Description
Hi! I am a third-year student studying Human Rights and Philosophy at Columbia University excited to travel as much as I can. I have lived in the Middle East for 2 years and can't wait to explore some other parts of the world :) I am motivated by helping people, learning about and experiencing different types of people and cultures, and generally having some fun adventures!

I love learning about different languages! I have studied Arabic for the past three years and am at an intermediate level. I struggle with my confidence in speaking so always appreciate chatting and practicing with someone! I have also learned small amounts of Hebrew and Spanish in the past but have forgotten nearly everything so I would love to build on these skills! Finally, I love to learn words/phrases in languages I don't have any formal knowledge of-- I love to figure out what certain words/phrases can reveal about the way of thinking the language embodies.Compétences et connaissances que j'aimerais partager ou apprendre

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I am a student so have strong research and writing skills. I am also currently an intern for the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy which has helped me to gain experience in nonprofit management, research, and proposal and grant writing.
I also have experience teaching English. I informally taught English to several children while living in Tel Aviv and have worked for the past year as a program coordinator for the ESOL program through Columbia University's Community Impact where I helped manage the program on-site and periodically substitute taught adult English language courses of 15-30 students.
I have managed the online ordering system and website of a Thai restaurant I worked at a couple of years ago so I can help with your business/organization's digital presence.
Additionally, I have over a decade of childcare experience. I have worked as a babysitter, a camp counselor for an arts-based summer camp, and a swim instructor for preschool-aged children. This past academic year I worked as a tutor and near-peer mentor for high schoolers at a local public school in Harlem. I am also a fellow with the national organization Matriculate through which I provide college counseling services to 2 high-achieving low-income high school students.Âge
