Hi Workawayers!

We are Ruby and Nelson from Australia and are living in Portugal for a year and planning on doing some other travel around Europe in that time! We're both adventurers, hands-on and creative people.

I (Nelson) love cooking, football, hiking, surfing, doing things with my hands, play a little guitar and in Australia I'm a civil engineer. My goal for this year is to learn as many new things as I can! My parents lived by permaculture and my grandparents own a farm so find hard labour rewarding but also relaxing and enjoying each others company.

I (Ruby) am a do all try all, bubbly person. I love cooking, football, sewing, reading, writing and doing anything creative really. I studied environmental social science and now work remotely in digital marketing. I love meeting new people and learning new things.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I (Ruby) am great at cooking, sewing, embroidery, digital marketing (website/social media/copy writing), gardening. Most of my skills have been developed through self-taught passion projects including starting my own business. I've worked in schools and nannied so I'm also great with kids!

I (Nelson) am great with my hands (painting, labouring, basic woodwork), gardening, cooking, solving problems! I'll work hard until the job is done and want to learn as many new skills as possible! I've learnt practical skills at my Grandparents farm and have a 4 and 10 year old brother so I'm also great with kids!

We've both got lots of experience in hospitality/hotels working through high-school and uni!
