Nice to see you on our profile! We are two friends, Nele and Sophie, and have been travelling through Ireland since February. We are all set until the end of June for now!

Let us introduce ourselves:

Hello, my name is Nele and I'm a 23 year old university student from Germany. I am currently studying with the goal to finish university to become a teacher for the subjects English and History. As I grew up on a dairy farm with cows, horses and dogs, I enjoy working with animals and am experienced with the several tasks on a farm. My hobbies are hiking, listening to music and reading. In general, I really enjoy living in a rural environment and being surrounded by nature.

Hello everyone,
my name is Sophie and I am a 24 year old university student studying to become an English teacher. As a part of my studies, I am aiming to spend 6 months abroad. I am looking forward to get to know different people and their cultures, while sharing mine (German & Polish). I love taking care of animals, spending as much time as possible in nature, and discovering new places. Having grown up in rather rural places, I enjoy the quietness, but still appreciate a lively evening with a nice drink. I hope to hear more from you soon!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Nele is currently working in adult education, teaching English courses for foreign language learners, but she used to work as a substitute teacher in a secondary school. Having grown up on a dairy farm, she is familiar with working in stables and caring for cows, so she does not mind getting her hands dirty.
Also, she used to work in retail, clearing the pallets and taking care of the register. Apart form that, she did an internship at a youth hostel, where she gained experience in hospitality and looking after guests.
Nele is a hardworking team player, who is accustomed to working long shifts with short breaks.

Sophie is also working as a substitute teacher, but at a primary school. She is familiar with farm life because her family has a dairy farm as well, where she used to help out as a teenager during the summer holidays. In the past, she used to work at the university library, restoring books, which required an organised work environment and precise work.
Teaching young students made her a very patient and resilient person, who works well under pressure. As a teacher, she likes to work in a team, but also enjoys tasks where she can be autonomous. In general, she’s a very active person, who’s on the go all the time and doesn’t shy away from challenges.

Autres infos...

As in why we'd like to visit and work in Ireland: We want to experience the beauty of the Irish landscape first hand and get to know the Irish culture (especially the pubs ;-) ). That is why we would enjoy spending a lot of time in the rural parts of the green island!

Random fact: We both love singing and doing karaoke. Our favourite is surely ABBA (but also other 80s songs)!
