My name is Naël, I’m 18 years old, and I come from the north of France, near Amiens.
Curious and enthusiastic, I love discovering new cultures and sharing enriching moments with people from all over the world.

This will be my first time traveling alone, and even more so staying with a family I don’t know, but I find it an exciting and rewarding experience.

I'm 18 and I'm at a turning point in my life, and I need to ask myself the right questions. I can see that I won't be able to replicate the model my parents or grandparents set. It's no longer about getting a good education, finding a good job to buy a nice house, and taking wonderful trips.
We can no longer pretend that our life choices have no impact on the planet.
Of course, my parents raised me to be environmentally conscious, but I feel like we need to go further.
And I need to meet people to awaken me to this in order to make the right life choices.

I am currently in my last year of high school, specializing in general studies. I have a strong interest in history and economics, and my goal is to pursue studies in a field related to international affairs.

I am a motivated, sociable, curious, resourceful, and dynamic person. I enjoy learning new things through hands-on experiences. I decided to join Workaway because I have always wanted to travel and explore different ways of life. I also want to improve my English for my future studies, and this type of trip is the perfect opportunity—not only to grow, live a unique experience, and be helpful, but also to discover more about myself and learn English.

I love to travel, I have already visited many countries like England, the United States, Spain, Portugal, Belgium... and my taste for adventure always asks for more!!

In my daily life, I am passionate about all kinds of sports (football, running, weight training, cycling, fencing…), I love cooking, spending time with my friends playing board games, listening to music, enjoying art, and working outdoors. I played football from the age of 5 to 16. I was really passionate about this sport, and my parents supported me by coming to my most important matches. I’m always up for trying new things! Even though I am young, I am motivated, serious, and willing to help with different tasks. I learn quickly and always do my best!

I am really excited to discover new experiences, meet inspiring people, and contribute to a project. I hope to share great moments with my future hosts and learn a lot! Looking forward to exchanging and having an amazing experience together! ;)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a dynamic young person, motivated by the desire to travel and learn by exchanging with others. I am serious, reliable, and always ready to lend a hand. I adapt easily to new situations and am open to new experiences.

Even though I am young, I often do outdoor work, babysitting (I have a good connection with children), gardening, and DIY. I enjoy helping people with projects (such as farm work), taking care of animals in general, and I am comfortable with computers and photography.

This is my first time taking part in this kind of project abroad. I am taking a gap year between high school and university, and this experience will be a great opportunity to help me in my future studies.
