We're Nadine and Talea - two people who are ready for an adventure, big or small. We love the outdoors, specifically hiking, swimming, kayaking, or just appreciating the world around us. Both of us have been eager to try our hand at staying abroad and contributing to local communities and families. Together we have a long resume of experience in traveling and can't wait to see what this next chapter holds for us!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Nadine: I have a Bachelor's degree in graphic design and a minor in marketing. I've been in the graphic design field for over 10 years and love it! I love the arts and have had experience in drawing, painting, doodling, cartoons, graphic novels, and I'm even currently running a Tumblr account for my art. In terms of outdoor work I have dabbled in gardening, composting, landscaping, tent camping, fence building, outdoor painting, fire-building, weeding, and all around average yard work. I have lots of experience in house and pet-sitting and everything that comes with that (cleaning, feeding, nurturing, playing, exercising, etc.). I love cooking (and eating) and am experienced in basic house chores. I'm a very methodical and organized person and appreciate a good spreadsheet. That helps balance my creative side in a way that keeps me grounded and on-task no matter what life throws at me.

Talea: I have a Bachelor's degree in English and will begin a Masters program in Library and Information Science in the fall. For the past few years, I have worked as an assistant librarian and a college advisor. I LOVE working with and meeting new people; kids, teens, adults, seniors, everyone has a story. I'm as comfortable in an office as I am in a garden shed. As a kid, I spent my summers gardening and landscaping for my neighbors, and in college, I worked to remove invasive species in our arboretum and helped run a summer hiking program. In addition to my love for the outdoors, I enjoy anything to do with reading, writing, music and learning.

Nadine: Hi there! I am a person who loves the outdoors that is looking for new experiences involving farm life. I am a creative person with a passion for graphic design, painting, illustration, and music. I also love hiking, biking, swimming, and camping. I come from a family of ten as one of eight siblings, so I love being a part of a large community. I love board games and long talks, and learning as much as I can about the world around me!

Talea: What Nadine said! (Minus the big family and graphic design part). I'm actually an only child, but my parents and I are very close and have travelled the world together: Mexico, the Dominican Republic, the Netherlands, Italy, etc. In college, I spent six AMAZING months studying abroad in Kyoto, Japan. One of my biggest dreams is to own a few cows someday- they are my favorite animals.
