Hi, I'm Karen!
*** I'm currently looking for a stay for 2 weeks in early/mid August. ***
A 23-year-old girl from Germany, excited to spend a year working and traveling across beautiful Canada starting in April 2026.
I’m currently on a gap year after studying psychology and working in Human Resources for about 2.5 years in Berlin – a job I really enjoyed, as I’m a very communicative person who loves connecting with people from all walks of life.
I’m looking forward to discovering Canada’s amazing nature, going on lots of hikes, exploring great cafés along the way, learning new skills, and getting to know the country and its people through hands-on work experiences. I’m an organized, reliable and quick learner who gets excited about many things and loves to help out wherever I’m needed.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
- Gardening and spending time outdoors (e.g. picking rhubarb, mulching, planting, weeding, mowing the lawn).
- Passionate about DIY projects, from building to painting, and generally creating things with hands.
- Creative and enthusiastic about photography.
- Interested in (mental) health, fitness, and cooking - especially vegetarian dishes.
- Working with children: I volunteered at an after-school program for ages 6–10, helping with homework and supervising activities. Experience in supporting children and young adults up to 25 years old as a volunteer in a virtual psychosocial crisis counseling service. -
