Hi, I’m Melissa!

Having a positive mindset & surrounding myself with the right people is extremely important to me. I love meeting new people, hearing about their stories, learning new things from them and sharing memories.

I’m very fond if swimming, playing the Cello in an orchestra and reading. I love being active and balancing my uni life well with me free time ;) People mostly say I am a tidy, hard-working person one can rely on.

My mom is from South Africa, which is why I grew up bilingually (speaking German & English).

Last semester I did an Erasmus exchange to Prague, Czechia. I had a great time, learnt quite a bit of Czech during my stay and became very fond of Czechia and its neighbour countries.

Since I didn’t manage to travel to Slovenia or Croatia, I’ve planned a solo backpacking trip to these countries (+maybe Hungary) this summer!
I’m super excited for it and would loved to do a mix of travelling and being a workawayer :))

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have done voluntary work with sick children from Afghanistan, Angola etc. for 6 months. I enjoy taking over responsibility and looking after kids.
My parents have two cats so I am also quite an animal person who doesn't mind doing some petsitting :) Besides that, I could also take over daily tasks like groceries, cooking etc.
I am not super talented with any crafts but it's easy to motivate me for trying new things. I´ll do my best ;)
