Hi, my name is Matteo!

I am a student currently studying Computer Science and Italian at Washington University in St. Louis (USA), but I am born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I love the outdoors and spending time in nature, especially surfing or sailing at the beach. I am a dual Italian-American citizen looking to explore my Italian heritage and learn more of the language.

I have been to Tuscany, near Grosseto, many times to visit my grandma, and I have traveled around the region as far as Rome. I would like to see more of the country as well as experience the unique cultures that each region possesses.

In my free time I enjoy reading, computer programming, watching movies, and chatting with friends. I love to be active, whether that be swimming, playing sports, or biking. I am also a very clean person and would keep very tidy. I love all animals and have lots of experience taking care of them. I can’t wait to make lasting relationships with everyone I meet during my Workaway!

I bring a diverse set of skills and experience to the table. I have a natural curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new things, which means I'm always eager to take on new challenges and develop new skills.

- I have experience taking care of indoor and outdoor plants, and I am part of the gardening club at my university.

- I also have a background in computer programming and web development, having worked for a software company in the past. I'm well-versed in the latest technologies and always eager to put my skills to use.

- I have a full driver's license and am comfortable driving both manual and automatic vehicles as well as skippering motor and sail boats.

- I'm also physically fit and handy, having repaired surfboards in the past. I'm happy to help out in any way I can, whether it's cooking, cleaning, animal care, painting, or DIY repairs. I also know how to sew and can make simple repairs on clothing.

- In terms of administrative work, I'm proficient in Excel and can handle a wide range of tasks.

- When it comes to writing, I'm equally comfortable with creative or analytical projects.

Overall, I'm a versatile and eager Workawayer with a diverse set of skills and a can-do attitude.
