Description

Hi, I am Matilde, an 18-year-old Italian girl. I live in Bologna, in the north of Italy, and now I am finishing my fourth year of linguistic high school. :)
I am described as a cheerful, outgoing and helpful girl. I love spending time with children, reading, traveling, being outdoors, listening to music, doing sport, taking photos and the mountains, both in winter and in summer. I was a scout for many years, which allows me to be able to adapt to most situations.
I had my first experience abroad on my own in Switzerland this fall, I spent 6 months near Lausanne in the canton of Vaud (the French part of Switzerland).
I still don't know what I will do in the future, but I would like to use my knowledge of foreign languages and be able to be in close contact with people.
I expect Workaway to be an experience where I can get involved, meet new people and be able to learn more about the language and culture of a country other than mine. I also look forward to returning home with lots of memories that I will always carry with me and with new friends.

I attend linguistic high school and my favorite subjects are languages. I have been studying French for 7 years (I am in an Esabac section and at the end of high school I will earn a French-Italian double degree), I have been studying English since elementary school, so I have been studying it for 12 years now. Last year I started studying Spanish too, I love it! In the fall I will have to take the exam to reach B2 level and I would like to improve in the language.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience with children as I often took care of my little brother with Down syndrome. I have often helped at village festivals in the kitchen or as a waitress. I also have some experience in gardening thanks to my grandmother who, living in the countryside, has always taught me many things.
