Hello! My name is Marisa and I am currently traveling around Europe via workaway on a bit of a sabbatical. I am using this time to get in touch with the earth and my creative side. I have experience working on small farms in Southern Colorado (USA), assisting with home projects such as painting rooms, building furniture etc.. teaching swim lessons and taking care of children, coaching running, and many other things! I am excited by the prospect of meeting new people, expanding my creative repoitoire, and building community as I am traveling.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My professional background is in building equity in food systems. I have spent time working on farms in Colorado and California and being the spare hand on my grandparents' land assisting them in repairing fence posts, painting their house, building garden beds etc. In addition to my background in agriculture, I have experience working with children. I taught swim lessons for 5 years, have babysat kids from 6 months to 12 years, and coached a high school (13-18 year old) cross country and track team. I am handy, love to learn new things, and am quick to pick up on new skills!

I love to spend my time doing anything outdoors! I run, hike, bike, climb, swim, ski, you name it. Being from Colorado, in the US, I grew up surrounded by gorgeous mountains and the ability to explore new places. During this workaway time I am also setting an intention to develop a writing habit. I have also been studying music, if you are a musician or have instruments around I would love to share and learn with you!
