Hi I’m Marama, I’m from Aotearoa New Zealand and I have family in the UK and dual nationality. I travelled to Brighton at the end of February 2024 and will be based in the UK/Europe. I absolutely love travelling, I travelled to Fiji, Italy, Japan and Egypt as a kid with my family and now I’m loving being able to travel and explore as an adult. Travelling and exploring new places brings me so much joy and provides such unique insight and knowledge about people and the world. I love to learn and experience the cultures of the places I visit! Working and being outdoors brings me so much joy and satisfaction in life. And I absolutely adore animals, I have two cats of my own at home and I love all animals and want to learn more about them and how to care for them. Working with animals and in nature brings me so much happiness and peace and I find it really rewarding so volunteering for me is a really amazing way to do this while also travelling, seeing and learning more!

I learnt French in high school and achieved my A2 qualification and I am now wanting to practice and better my French skills. I am a native English speaker and spent some time teaching friends who speak English as their second language about English just for fun but I would be happy teaching English language to anyone :)
