Hello Everyone,
I am an ER nurse turned French language student since April 2023. I am looking for opportunities to mingle with French-language speakers and improve my conversation skills. I love experiencing different cultures and cuisines ( Although I am primarily vegetarian). The outdoors has always brought me delight and enjoy any activity that immerses me in it whether that be gardening, hiking, cycling, or playing on the water. I have always found satisfaction in creating things with my hands and don’t shy away from getting them dirty or calloused (Thanks Dad for raising me in the woods and making work with you building houses during the summer breaks).
I am hoping that my Workaway experience will help me learn new things, give me the opportunity to meet great people, make some new precious memories, and to feel that I have contributed to something bigger.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am fluent in English, and conversational in Spanish and French.
As a nurse, I have had to develop good organization skills, time efficiency, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and adaptability. Speaking of adaptability, living in Ethiopia and growing up in a tiny cabin in the mountains enhanced my natural ability to find creative solutions to problems using what I had at hand as well as being comfortable in less than ideal living conditions. I have basic knowledge of power tools and construction thanks to spending summers building houses and my interest in woodworking. I also do some very basic sewing and leatherwork.
I have spent a lot of time in home gardens growing flowers and veggies and would love to broaden those skills.
