Description
Hi! My name is Maia. I have grown up in Lammas Eco Village in the countryside of West Wales, living sustainably, off grid and in a community. Growing up with in a straw bale house, a compost toilet, lots of veggies from the garden and off-grid ( not always reliable) electricty truly gave me an exciting childhood and although with many challenges it has made me fall in love with living close to the land and being self sufficient.
The joy of work away - I love meeting new people and having the time to create a true friendship through living and working together. Also having the opportunity to make a strong connection to the land and helping people in their dreams.
I love using my hands in all forms of creativity, especially in the garden with agriculture and caring for animals. I also really enjoy cooking and feeding ourselves good food after a hard days work. I like construction work and really proved to myself I am capable after volunteering during the build up for a festival in Portugal.
I am excited to continue this travel journey I have started and to experience and learn from all the many ways of life.

I currently am only able to speak English, though I am very keen to learn other languages. Wherever I travel I make sure to do my best to learn the basics and ask how to say things ( it can be a slow process but not for want of trying :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Growing up in the Eco Village I have helped my mum with gardening, growing food and general agriculture. I have gained more knowledge about this from volunteering at different farms. I can also help in construction and would really love to learn more!
During my childhood we had many volunteers on our small holding which gave me skills to communicate with people from around the world, which I love as I am very sociable!
I have completed a Level 5 TEFL course.
I am a quick learner and find it easy to follow instructions and complete tasks with care both alone and with others.
