Description

Hello! My name is Madison (Maddie)! I am a recent graduate of university here in the US where I got my BS in biological sciences as well as a BA in Spanish and a minor in photojournalism and documentary studies. I have always been driven to travel and help others. This thirst to see the world is what allowed me to journey to Mexico, where I lived for a year studying Spanish and working in the Neurobiology Institute of UNAM. I love human sciences, writing, photography, linguistics, education, and cultural connections. I have experience working with children and I am CPR certified. I have been a bartender, a waitress, a receptionist, a lab employee, a reporter (met the VP of the USA), and a photographer (I photograph everything! concerts, events, professional portraits). I am trained in combative sports (Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, Taekwondo, Kickboxing, and Krav Maga). I love kayaking, hiking, camping, and being outdoors. I can drive cars, I can provide physical labor, I can photograph and digitally promote, I can translate documents, I can care for children and farm animals, I can help in any way that I can! Above all else, I love to try new things and share stories!

I spent most of my life learning Spanish and I spent time in Mexico fully immersed in the language. While there, I taught mini lessons to my professional coworkers on English. While in the US I have taught basic Spanish to friends and family. I would love to learn any languages! I hope to learn Korean, Arabic, Tagolog, and Italian within my lifetime.
