Hi there,

My name is Mackenzie (or Mac), I have just recently graduated from Dalhousie University where I studied Environmental Science and Sustainability. I grew up in Canada first in Squamish, British Columbia surrounded by beautiful rivers and mountain for and then Halifax, Nova Scotia by the ocean with my little brother and mum. This year I have decided to take a gap year to travel and explore the world. Ideally, I would like to travel by immersing myself in new environments and cultures, contributing to meaningful projects, and making lasting connections along the way.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have spent the last four years tree planting in Western Canada, where hard work is a way of life. The job is physically demanding, and we spend our summers living in tents, earning based on the number of trees we plant a day. The more effort you put in, the greater the reward.

My other experiences include working in childcare, coffee shops and customer service/retail. I also enjoy cooking, making art and learning new skills. I am a fast learner and hard worker.

I would love to gain more experience with wood working or carpentry. I spent the past year renovating my own little camper trailer with scrap wood as a DIY project, so I have some skills but would love to gain more.
