Hello!

Hello! I'm Lottie, a 26 year old from England. I grew up in a small town in the countryside with my older brother and my parents. I have been lucky enough to travel to many different countries throughout my childhood and my love for travelling has never stopped into adulthood!

I have loved all of my travel experiences, especially meeting different people from across the globe, sharing stories, experiences and knowledge. I have never done a workaway before (so I have no reviews!) but I am keen to begin my workaway journey. I would love to continue travelling in a more meaningful way, forming more connections and giving back to people.

I have a huge passion for art and design, and I studied textile design at university in Manchester at university. I absolutely love painting (especially murals), and crafting anything with my hands and hosting workshops. I also enjoy cooking, languages, teaching and hiking. I am currently completing a level 5 TEFL Course because I hope to do some teaching.

After university I worked in restaurants, bars and a deli, I really enjoyed working in hospitality and I know how to deliver good service and make a good coffee! I have a big family and I am an auntie to three children aged 4, 2 and 8 months old. I enjoy being around family and playing with the children. I am a hardworking, reliable and easygoing person who throws myself into anything I do!

I am currently completing a TEFL Course with the aim to teach English. I am also intermediate in Italian, I am able to understand a lot of conversations and text, however, I struggle with speaking. I would love to immerse myself in an opportunity where I can learn the language more and be able to confidently converse in Italian.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- Creative person who can lead workshops, paint, paper collage, paint murals, design business assets.
- Language development and teaching, I am currently completing a TEFL Course (teaching English as a foreign language) I am also intermediate in Italian and I love languages and how they can connect people from across the world.
- Cooking, I have lots of experience in restaurants and a deli, as well as working in a wine bar. I have lots of passion about food and how it can be paired with wine. I can cook very well and have a good understanding of food preparation.
- Listening and engaging with others, forming good relationships with people. I am a very open, sociable person who loves human connection. I love learning from others and listening about life experiences as well as sharing my own.
- Problem solving, I have had many experiences in life that needed quick and rational problem solving, I have an ethos of "where there is a problem, there is a solution."
