Description

We love eating durian and learning about food, culture, plants, and birds. It gives us great joy to see our son experiencing life outside of the United States, and helping others gives us fulfillment.

Aaron plays violin, helps with building projects, and works as a guide who teaches people about birds.
Our 10-year-old son is shy around people but good at building, cooking, gardening, and outdoor projects.

I (Laura) grew up in Central Java, Indonesia. I wanted my husband and 10-year old son to experience Indonesia as well, so we started traveling in Southeast Asia in September. We spent two months in Malaysia, a month in Sumatra, and we are now exploring Java. We love learning language and cultures, trying new foods, and meeting new bugs and animals. Each day my son and I spend several hours doing his schoolwork, and I also spend several hours a day in an online class. Aaron spends time watching birds or eating durian at every opportunity he gets.
