  • Description

    Hi there!
We are Patricia (28) and Daniel (34), both born and raised in beautiful Bavaria, Germany. For the past 11 months, we've been traveling the world, exploring incredible places across Africa, Asia and South America. We absolutely love immersing ourselves in new cultures, discovering beautiful places and meeting amazing people along the way. We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to travel like this. Before our journey, Patricia worked as a Marketing Manager and Daniel was a Project Manager in the automotive industry. We were both living in Munich at the time.

    Patricia:
In my free time, I enjoy all kinds of sports – hiking, skiing, climbing, bouldering – and I’m always curious to try new things, like meditation, pilates or creative DIY projects. I would describe myself as cheerful, kind-hearted, sociable and easygoing.
I’m happy to cook, clean, help out wherever needed and I’m quite handy too. Growing up with an older brother made me a bit of a “power woman” – tough and resilient – and traveling for the past months has only made me stronger.

    Daniel:
I’m someone who’s passionate about both sports and nature, so I especially enjoy outdoor activities like surfing, hiking, skiing, or climbing – anything that combines movement and the outdoors. I love pushing myself out of my comfort zone and exploring my own limits.
Since I was a kid, I’ve always loved building and fixing things. That passion led me to study engineering about 15 years ago, and I completed my M.Eng in 2017.
In my free time, I like building furniture, working on old cars or getting into new hands-on projects – it’s my way of switching off from office life. I’d describe myself as extroverted, empathetic and curious about people. I really enjoy having deep conversations about life and the world.

From the very beginning of our trip, we knew we wanted to try volunteering for a longer period of time. Now feels like the perfect moment to make that happen. Ideally, we’re looking for a meaningful project in a beautiful and natural setting – somewhere a bit off the beaten path, surrounded by nature and with an inspiring atmosphere.

We’d be truly happy to lend a helping hand in exchange for accommodation and to meet new people who might even become lifelong friends.

  • Quelles sont vos compétences ?

    Patricia:
I was raised to be an independent and confident woman. My father is very skilled when it comes to manual work and over the years he taught me quite a few practical things. I love being creative and enjoy working on DIY projects. Creativity has also always been a key part of my job as a Marketing Manager. On top of that, I can cook, clean, lend a hand wherever needed – and I’m never afraid to get my hands dirty.

    Daniel:
Even as a child, I was fascinated by giving form to the creative ideas in my head. By helping out on the farm of my best friend’s parents, where there were things to repair or improve almost every day, this passion continued to grow. Working with all kinds of machines – whether big or small, with a motor, steering wheel, joystick, or without – has always been fun for me. Finding solutions to technical problems is what I do well and what I enjoy.
As a project manager in the automotive industry, it was part of my daily routine to provide structure to a team of creative engineers, so they wouldn't stray from the path and a high-quality, functional product could be developed together.
