Description

Hey! My name is Lila and I’m from Montreal. I am travelling with my dog Lucca, a four year old Nova Scotia Duck Toller mix. He is extremely sweet, well behaved and very small.

I speak English, French, Spanish and am learning Portuguese. I love travelling, nature, animals, meeting new people and learning about different cultures.

I am very good with kids, as I have babysat, tutored and taught swimming lessons. I’m also a certified lifeguard (first aid and national lifeguard).

I love to cook, garden and build things. I especially love creative and artistic projects:)

I adore the mountains, the beach and the jungle. And I have a special love for rivers.

So far, I have travelled mostly in South America, I keep coming back and cannot seem to bring myself to go anywhere else, as it feels there is so much to see here. And I adore Spanish and Portuguese. I have spent some time in Europe this summer and really enjoyed it, and now am going back to explore Portugal and Spain.

I play the drums and sing in a band, play guitar, paint, spin pois, make films, draw, sew, knit, write, do pottery and all other kinds of forms of art, and graduated college in cinema.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a very crafty person, whether it be small or big scale projects, my favourite thing is working on something as a group and seeing it all come together, by our very own hands. I would say my strong suits comprise anything artistic such as painting, sculpture and design. Nevertheless, I love to get my hands dirty and I find hard work extremely rewarding, especially when done in a positive and healthy environment.

I have experience working on multiple volunteer exchanges doing various construction work such as planning and progressing on sustainable builds, making mud walls and flooring, sanding, varnishing, painting, etc. I have experience working on different permacultures around the world.

Whenever I need something, my first instinct is to make it, either from scratch or out of something I already own. I have trained my brain to always think outside the box, there's an endless sea of solutions when you really start digging.

I know how to knit and how to sew using a machine or by hand and can definitely help with sewing projects such as curtains, sheets, clothes, whatever need be.

As for more "typical" work experience, I have worked as a server and barista over the past two years and adore customer service.

I am a good cook and baker as well.

I am very creative and love to organize fun activities for people of all ages, especially for children.

I’m also interested in spirituality, different religions and life philosophies and overall learning about concepts integral in an overall understanding of how the world, the body and the mind function.

I sew (machine and by hand), read books, draw, paint, sculpt, make music (guitar, singing, drumming), cook/bake, make jewellery, love to dance and practice yoga :)
