Hey there!
I'm Leona, 22 years, from Germany. Right now, I'm in the middle of my studies of medicine. But as it is really a lot of learning, I need a cut - which means I will take some time off in the next semester. I've done some voluntary work already before I started my studies, so I know, how much you benefit. New experiences, new perspectives and hopefully new motivation for my studies.
As a balance to all the learning, I started to love the nature. When I have time on a weekend, I often do trips to the mountains to do some hiking and I love the feeling of being outside. I do climbing for one year now, so after a long day at university we often pack our stuff and end the day by climbing some rocks around my hometown Regensburg (south of Germany). And at home - besides reading and playing the uke - I care for our balkony which looks like a little jungle by now.
So and then I saw a Chile travel guide at a friends place and flicked through it..and I saw some pictures of Patagonia...and well, that was when I thougt "wow, I think that's where I have to go" and now, here I am.
Before my studies I worked already for one year in a children's home in South Africa and I did some work in disaster relief in Nepal after the earth quake 2015. I know hard work and I know how much fun it can be!

I am fluent in English and German - which I could therefore teach, and my French is on a good level in which I feel confident having it as a language in every day life, but not confident enough to teach. I finished an A1 Arabic class in university and am curious to further dive into the language!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As I told you before, I have some experience in voluntary services already. In South Africa, I did a lot of teaching (pre school and computer lessons) and organized some projects for the kids in the orphanage. Nepal was more hard work. We cleaned sites from rubble to build new houses after the earth quake - which means carrying stones with your hands and dirt in a wheelbarrow all day long. In Patagonia, I am interested in gardening, working outside, maybe building something. Using my hands :-)
