Holà! I'm Laurie, and I'm super stoked to share that I'm diving headfirst into the world of backpacking! Originally from the province of Quebec, in Canada, I've got a degree in psychology, but my real passion lies in soaking up nature, getting active outdoors, and connecting with amazing people. My maternal language is french, but I learned english from school since I'm young. I currently begginer at spanish, but I'm leaning fast !

Having already dipped my toes into the world of backpacking, I'm all about embracing the spontaneity of life on the road. I already visit some country, but it's my first experience in Workaway! I can't wait to revisit the thrill of exploring diverse cultures, jaw-dropping landscapes, and making memories that'll last a lifetime.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My journey has been quite diverse. I've spent a considerable amount of time working in the hospitality industry, including roles in both restaurants and hotels, as well as gaining experience in sales. While my career initially took me down these paths, my passion for understanding human behavior and helping others led me to pursue further studies in psychology and to work as a social worker.

Additionally, I'm comfortable and proficient with social media platforms, utilizing them as tools to connect, educate and promote. I can work with text, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Twitter. Plus, I take some great picture.

Loving the art, I make at home some DIY and painting decoration to add my color to the place I go.
