Hi!

I’m Lara, originally from Argentina. I’ve been traveling for the last 6 years. I started my travels in Australia in 2018 where I stayed for 6 months, and then I visited the north island in New Zealand for 3 months. After that I travelled around Italy with my dad. We visited some cities in the north of Italy, and then I moved to Denmark for a year on a Working Holiday Visa.

I had an amazing experience with workaway in Norway, where I had the chance to see the northern lights. In early 2020 I wanted to do the Tran Siberian Railway, so I visited Russia, and was headed towards China when Covid hit. So I decided to go back to Australia instead, where I lived for the last 4 years. I feel like home here, but my visa is finishing soon and I see this as an opportunity to connect again with my traveller side.

I'm 32 years old, but I am active and fit. I don't shy away from physically demanding tasks. I have experience working in farms, pruning, picking fruits, etc. I can lift heavy loads (around 20 kilos), drive a truck or a quad. And I have heaps of experience in hospitality and cleaning, but also retail and customer service. I'd love to learn how to ride a horse, and that's why I'm aiming to connect with hosts that provide this experience and are willing to teach.

My mother tongue is Spanish, but after 4 years living in Australia I am fluent in English as well, to the point that it doesn't feel like a second language anymore. I also studied Italian for a year, and intend to keep studying it as I want to become fluent in Italian as well.

I enjoy connecting with people, that's why I prefer long stays. I'm hard working, mature and independent. I can comfortably work on my own or in a team. I enjoy outdoor activities, I like astrology and I love to sing!

I have experience in hospitality, cleaning, customer service, retail, horticulture. I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, so I'm also skilled with computers and can advice on MKT strategies.
