Hello! I’m Kuru from Japan. I’m 20 years old.
I’m university student in Kyoto and study international relationships.

This year, I’m taking a year off from university to get experience of various things.

I’d like to make friends who are from different countries and talk about different cultures.
The reason why I try to do Workaway is that I’d like to have an opportunity to stay with people in different culture.

I can’t speak English fluently, but I can have a daily conversation.

So, I’m studying English hard.

I realy like animals and nature.
I really like exercises as well. It is because I had belonged to canoe team in my high school.
So, I’m confident with my physical strength.

We loved having Kurumi visit us and volunteer! She fit in so well with all and was conscientious in all we asked her to do. We would love to have her return for a volunteer next time she comes to New York!

I met people from various culture there!! Lots of encounters, interesting meditation, delicious meal... I had amazing experience at the center!!! All of people gave me their love. When I go to NY again, I wanna go to the center again!!

I helped out in the cafe and garden. I got some delicious Indian curry and learned about Indian culture. I also made some great friends. It was my first time in India and I'm glad I got to experience the relaxed life at Alleppy. Thank you!

Kurumi is so helpful in cafe and garden. Whatever the task we are assigned she completes without any hesitation. She worked & stayed as one amongst us for 2 weeks. We recommend Kurumi for other hosts.
