Description

I am very lucky person - I have had a successful and interesting career in theatre production , and have also brought up two brilliant kids. My work has been satisfying, but I have been craving change, challenge and travel. I am a few months into a years sabbatical from my job and am just returned from a fantastic trip around South East Asia. I loved submerging myself in a completely different culture, navigating new experiences and flavours. I know now that I can be happy alone and have the resilience to deal with issues that might arise.
I would really like to connect and find ways to help others and have been thinking about ways that I might be able to do that. Workaway seems like a really good platform for connecting people, so I am hopeful that I can find new ways to learn and help at the same time.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have worked in theatre for most of my career, so my professional skills are based around that. I am good at organising and managing events, looking after teams of colleagues, being flexible to change, helping others deliver their artistic visions.
Away from work, I have been a single parent for the last 8 years of my kids life so I am resourceful and resilient and a good problem solver. I have been chief gardener, decorater, DIY-er and finance officer of the house hold and while I would not pretend to be an expert, I am happy to give most things a go. (apart from laying lino. I am NEVER doing that again!)
I have good IT skills and have even started teaching myself to code. Not that I can offer that just yet!
I like working as part of a team, but am also happy to get on with things on my own too.
I have English as a first language if that is useful.

I am a reader (contemporary fiction) and film lover, (from art house to Marvel) and music consumer (soul, funk, jazz, pop etc). I love walking, yoga, and started getting in to kayaking last year. I have developed my garden from a pile of gravel to a full on green jungle.
I am interested in developing more knowledge of meditation and other world philiosphies. I really enjoying how things work and am pretty curious generally.
