Description

Welcome to our profile!

We are Katja and Nicolas, an engaged world travel couple from Switzerland who love vegetarian food and good conversation over a delicious cup of coffee/tea. We have been traveling our planet since November 2023. In addition to discovering the world, we want to do meaningful things, support other people and broaden our horizons. We love to help!

We took the plunge and quit our 9 to 5 jobs, gave up our apartment and sold almost all our things. Katja worked in the insurance industry and Nicolas worked in IT. We are also active members of sports clubs and like to cook together. Katja sings at weddings and Nicolas supports the local youth club or teaches in the digitalization industry.

We are open to learning new things every day and giving our best.

From cleaning, gardening, DIY projects, teaching, cooking or assisting with computer / online projects, we have (a little) experience in all areas.

If you need humorous and passionate support, we are here to help! We are not on workaway, just to "sleep somewhere for free", we really wanna help. :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Katja has worked in sales and administration. She is very reliable, precise and willing to learn new things.

She can support in the following areas:
- Housekeeping
- Gardening
- Cooking
- Dancing / Singing
- Office stuff

Nicolas has worked in the IT / digitalization industry and for a startup, additionally he was active in youth work. He is patient, helpful and quick to pick up new knowledge / skills.

He can support in the following areas:
- Housekeeping
- DIY Projects
- Cooking
- Online / Marketing / IT Stuff
- Teaching about new technologies and digitalization in the world

This is just our main focus. We can also help in many other areas and we are open for new things and to learn. :)

Expanding our skills, learn from other people and give some learnings back, is our main goal with workaway.

We are two open-minded and fun people. We like to go on long hikes in the countryside, but we enjoy a board game evening and some healthy cooking at home just as much.

We are both uncomplicated and quickly find our feet in new situations. We like things to be simple and straightforward.

A drunken night in the club? Not for us.
A cozy evening with friends? We're up for that. :)

If you want to learn some funny swissgerman words or to cook typical swiss meals, we are in!

Additionally:
We both grew up with pets/animals and have experience with them. We have explicitly not mentioned working with animals in our profile, because in our opinion, there are many bad animal welfare projects. Basically, however, we enjoy animals and like working with them when they are doing well.
