Description
Hi! I’m Katerina, a 22-year-old history of art student, aspiring film director, and passionate human being. I’ve traveled around Europe, mostly solo, and I’ve loved how each experience has expanded my worldview.
This August, I came to South America for the first time for an exchange semester in Buenos Aires. So far, I’m enjoying the city, the people, and the culture. It’s very different from what I’m used to, and I’m embracing the challenge.
I’ll have 2.5 free months between my semesters here and in France, and during that time, I’d love to learn more about this continent through meaningful conversations with the people I meet along the way.
My only experience similar to a workaway was as an au pair in Italy in 2022. I had a marvelous time with the family, and we became close friends; we’re still in contact today. In fact, I visited them a few months ago, just before coming to Argentina.
I’m easy to communicate with and always determined to do my best at any job I take on. I’m curious, open to the world, a fast learner, and enjoy both company and solitude.

As I know a few languages, I’d be interested in sharing my knowledge with you. Previously, I successfully taught an Italian toddler English (and she taught me some Italian :) ). I’d love to master my Spanish and learn some Portuguese. Also, if you’re a Danish or Turkish speaker, I’d be very interested in learning from you!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
My set of skills combines social, intellectual, and a bit of manual work. By this, I mean that I’m pretty good at teaching, I speak a few languages, and I’m very comfortable with kids, as I’ve been working as a babysitter (3yo, then 6-7) for the last few years. My biggest strength is everything audiovisual—since I’m aspiring to become a film director, I’m familiar with a lot of technical aspects, such as photo/video, editing, sound, social media curation, artistic expression, etc. I’ve worked a lot in this area and would definitely be interested in sharing my skills with you.
