Description
Hello, we are a couple looking for volounteering opportunities for this summer during our trip to Central Asia. We want to get there mostly by hitchhiking (at least through Europe). Starting point is in Poland. We will be passing Romania, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan. Probably Iran, Kazachstan, Uzbekistan. Last year we went as far as Turkey by hitchhiking, also Romania, Italy, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegowina.
We both live in Cracov, but originally come from northern parts of Poland, and study at a Jagiellonian University.
Natalia:
During most of the year my main focus is studying at a university. In the meantime I walk around the city of Cracov in which I live, study the mysteries of biotechnology, work in a Czech restaurant, read whenever I can and after that I read blogs and wikipedia pages of places I want to visit. So after 10 months of studying there comes a time when I can pack and go.
Bartek:
Most of my academic year is spent by studying, social outings, reading books, blogs. From a young age I was interested in geography, other civilizations, culture, so I started writing and sharing some stories and knowledge from places where I've been on a blog. Now I'm a student of law, Russian language and partly of religious studies. During any free time at the university I try going away to mountains and rest there.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Natalia:
This spring I'm having an exam in English on C1 level. I also know some basics of German and I'm trying to learn some Russian before our summer trip. I'm studying biotechnology at Jagiellonian University in Poland. I have knowledge from biology, chemistry, mathematics. My main focus is work in a laboratory concerning cyanobacteria and water quality. Due to the character of my studies I work a lot on a computer. I have knowledge of using excel, origin, R language. After high school examination I tutored younger students in biology.
I can cook some traditional polish dishes and make you acquainted with our culture. I have basic skills working in a garden.
I have a bronze badge in horse riding. I passed a theoretical and practical examination. For a period of time I worked as an instructor for children. I took part in trail rides and coordinated work around the stable. For the last 2 years it stopped being my main focus but I have around 6 years of experience working around horses.
Most of the trips are planned around mountains, hiking, sleeping in a tent. Most of the new countries that I visit now I get to by hitchhiking, as Romania and Turkey last summer.
Bartek:
Through most of my education I studied English language. Since this year I've started studying Russian language at a univerisity. I also know a lot about Polish culture, literature, religion, cuisine so I'm open to exchanging knowledge about that. I also read a lot about geography, culture of various places, also since this year I started studying ethnology of religion. For two first years of university I tutored high schollers in Polish language and literature.
In free time I enjoy making handcrafting projects. I make jewellery, mostly by wire rapped technique, white weaponery, like knives or swords.
For 3 years I had run holiday houses. First with my siblings we renovated the place, mostly it consisted of painting, building fences, small repair works. I was managing our booking cite, welcoming guests, sometimes cooking for them.
I am a big fan for the simple life, like bonfires, tents and the beautiful stars you can see at night and travelling allows me to do that.
