Description

My name is Juliana and I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I am from Essen - a city in Germany which is always busy and loud. My intention with travelling is to be present and slow down, I also love the ocean and somehow feel really connected to it.

I did travel a lot and spend a year abroad in high school but now I am planning to go on my first official solo trip through workaway. I am very excited and looking forward to this experience.

Hello!

My name is Juliana and I am 19 years old. I just finished school and am now taking some time to travel before starting university in October.

I used to work in a restaurant as a server and cook, as a cashier in a clothing store, and as a tutor.
I also volunteer in an organization that works on making different free time activities more accessible for children. I organize events and workshops for children and teenagers such as crafting, painting, camping, and cooking. I also used to be responsible for the Instagram account of that organization: taking pictures/creating content.

I would describe myself as a creative and outgoing person. I love doing yoga, dancing, reading, and painting. In my hometown, I am probably spending most of my time at the gym weightlifting. I also love surfing . My family grows our own vegetables and fruits. I am also a vegetarian and love cooking and learning about the traditional dishes from different cultures.

I do not have any pets but I spent an exchange year living with a hostfamily that owned three dogs that I would feed and walk.

I hope to spend some time at a place that is near the beach, where I could swim or even surf. It is really important to me to be able to connect to nature while traveling.

I am really looking forward to meet new people, listen to their stories, exchange experiences and knowledge. :)
