Description
Pam and John are a recently retired couple that love to travel together to beautiful places and seek out adventure and relationships. Pam is fluent in Spanish, and John "asi asi", but our hearts are drawn to Latin America. We are in good health physically and are experienced living off-grid as we spend a lot of time at a cabin in the forest of Washington state, USA. John is an energetic "can do" action-oriented guy who loves to work through a task list. Pam is a sensitive listener whose heart soars when visiting Latin cultures. We enjoy mushroom foraging, fly fishing, hiking, rafting, mountain biking, meeting new people, and seeing God in Creation. We are eager to learn new skills and develop relationships. We have been to Patagonia twice and are enamored with the land and the people.

We stayed for three weeks (missed one day due to a medical emergency unrelated to our work at the lodge), and enjoyed our time with Kary, Nhyun, and the Colombian staff. Kary and Nhyun took us and staff for several excursions and community events, and we greatly enjoyed our jungle foraging excursions with them! The food from Chef Javier and Nhyun… read more

We spent a wonderful week with Manuel at his amazing villa in Vistalba/Lujan. Manuel was a fantastic host, and took us to see Valle de Uco, Chacras de Corias, y Mendoza. We worked around his house and shared meals together and had very interesting conversations. We met several of his friends and family members and had a nice asado our last night.… read more

We stayed for two weeks at Vista del Indio, and enjoyed our visit. We had many guests during our stay and so stayed busy with cleaning the domos and cabanas, but also were able to work on several projects.
