Hi, I’m Jodie! I’m from the north of Scotland, and am easy-going, friendly and enthusiastic.

I love to explore new places, learn new skills and meet new people.

I am a keen traveller and so far have spent time in South East Asia, Australasia, Central America and Europe. I would love to be able to further enhance my travelling experiences by truly immersing myself with locals to learn even more about different cultures and lifestyles. My favourite time of day is golden hour wherever I am in the world - I love the feeling of reflecting on a beautiful day.

Between my travels for the past decade I have worked in cancer care through my job as a therapy radiographer. This has been truly rewarding, and has gifted me with amazing memories, skills and life experience. However I am currently taking a break from this, and am really looking forward to focusing on other endeavours and am looking for exciting opportunities to experience a different kind of lifestyle for a while.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’ve been lucky to have gained many transferable skills both through my career & during my travels. My favourite of these are my communication skills. I love meeting new people & can quickly build rapport with them - whether it be my patients, other backpackers or all the amazing locals I’ve met along the way. I enjoy working in a team, but am also used to autonomous working.

I really enjoy a challenge, and learning new skills and would be happy to help in any way that I can.
I pride myself in having a strong work ethic, and will always give everything 100%. I have good attention to detail and am a quickly learner - I’m enthusiastic and hardworking so will give anything a go!

I have also had experience in working in retail and customer service. I teach students in my job, have volunteered with children before and have a young niece and nephew so am experienced with childcare too.

I love being in the outdoors and enjoying nature as I grew up in the North of Scotland and lived in New Zealand for a couple of years. I also really enjoy wild swimming, and would love to continue learning how to surf. I am an avid reader, and have a growing interest in photography. I am also a big animal lover, and have experience dog-sitting and walking etc too.
