Hello!! I hope you’re doing well and thank you for taking the time to read!! I’m a recent college grad and after 18 years of schooling in Ohio, I’d love to start learning new skills and gaining knowledge from other places and from people in different walks of life. I’m driven by the pursuit of knowledge, the love of traveling, the beauty of nature, the need for a new challenge and the desire to help out with whatever I can, wherever I can. I definitely don’t know everything, but I am a fast learner and I’d love to learn what I can help lend a hand. Sustainable building and living practices are the biggest areas that I’d love to learn more about.

I’m easy to get along with and love getting to know new people. I feel as though I’m pretty easy going and I bounce back from negativity rather quickly. I love art, nature, stories and music even though I don’t have a single musical bone in my body. I’m no stranger to hard work and I love finding solutions to difficult or unique challenges.

I’d love to experience the world from a new perspective and make progress towards becoming a more well-rounded human being. Thanks again for taking the time out of your day to read this, I deeply appreciate it!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I was introduced to the visual arts early in my life and through my educational career, I’ve greatly developed my art and design skills. I’m great with my hands and very meticulous and precise when I work. I also received my BA in Interior Design which has helped develop my design skills. It has also help greatly with my social and communication skills as a lot of it has to do with effectively communicating with clients and the people on my design team. It has also given me a good perception of space and my surroundings as now I’m CONSTANTLY thinking about the space I’m inhabiting.

I also like to think of myself as a creative problem solver. I had a short-term research assistant position where we successfully constructed a structurally sound chair out of an experimental mycelium-based biomaterial. We had such little time to test different processes and it took a lot of planning and a lot of on-the-fly troubleshooting. This position really helped kindle my passion for sustainable practice and since then, I have been driven to implement as many sustainable practices as I can in my designs. I also have some basic knowledge of power tools I got from a few different wood shop introductions as a few of the jobs I've had involved me working with power tools and I have built a few wooden furniture pieces in my free time.

I am also very tech savvy and great with a computer on the off chance that you need to utilize those skills. Ultimately, I’m a quick learner, very adaptable and I’ve got an able body that's willing to work!

- I love playing any sort of games whether they be boardgames, card games, yard games or sports.
- I a big nature lover and enjoy spending time outside whether it be hiking, camping, canoeing/kayaking or just reading.
- I am a big fan of storying telling. I love to read (although I definitely take my time at it) and I write and run a weekly Dungeons & Dragons campaign for a bunch of my friends.
- Painting and drawing are other things I like to do in my free time and I love exploring with different mediums.
- I had a lot of pets in the house growing up. I've had a dog my entire life and always had at least 7 cats in the house as well. Of course, cats and dogs are far different than farm animals, but I am comfortable around animals regardless.
- I got the pleasure to study abroad for a semester in Florence, Italy in the spring of 2022. It was a wonderful experience where I got to better understand art history and immerse myself in a different culture for 5 months.
