Description

I’m Jess, a 29 year old Irish/Australian artist, ESL tutor and student nutritionist.
I started volunteering with Workaway in 2017 and had the most incredible experiences and met really wonderful, interesting people. I was volunteering around Europe pretty consistently until 2020 when the pandemic forced me back to Australia. I’m excited to get back into Workaway this year and have some more of those great experiences.
At my past workaways I painted murals, did tourism work, was a cook at a eco lodge, worked in permaculture, childcare, just to name a few.
I’m hoping to learn some new skills this year, particularly in natural building techniques and improving my Spanish. But I’m open to any and all opportunities. Mainly looking to make some connections with some lovely new people.

I have worked professionally as a video producer and a journalist as well as various jobs in hospitality and tourism. I have been commissioned to paint multiple large scale as well as smaller commissioned pieces. I have worked as a nanny, as well in many hostels and guesthouses around the world as a house keeper/receptionist/cook.
