Description
I love indoor and outdoor projects. I'm very active. I can cook, clean, and manage a home and farm. I'm a mother of three (they've all grown up) who enjoys hard work. I'd love to use my skills to benefit a family, a business, a farm, or anyone needing assistance. I'd like to gain new skills in construction, farming, wine-making, outdoor recreation, and international development ....just to name a few. I speak English, basic Spanish, and very basic Swahili.
I used to own a landscaping and gardening company (7 years) and still landscape and work in my gardens.
I grew up in the country and worked on a farm. I owned and enjoyed horses for 15 years. I've worked with goats, dogs, horses, and cats. I've worked on horse ranches.
I'm a volunteer coach for my local high school's mountain bike team. I teach gifted and talented youth at summer camp programs.
I have over 20 years of experience in business management in retail and service. I was a board member of the Michigan Inventor Coalition, advocating for “Garage, Barn, and Basement Inventors” and entrepreneurs. I was a junior faculty member at Michigan State University for ten years. I now work for the internationally known NGO called United Way.
I run a small touring company called Big Adventure Trips on weekends and holidays. I started it 30 years ago to organize and lead economic, safe outdoor adventures and tours for family and friends. I've also worked at ski resorts, outdoor retail operations, and other outdoor recreation businesses.
In 2013, I was a U.S. State Department Professional Fellow for a Women’s Economic Empowerment exchange program where I partnered with professional women from Tanzania and South Africa, and I've been working with partners in Tanzania for the past five years on several school projects related to girl students' education.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Landscaping/ gardening, farm care, animal care (primarily horses), cooking, cleaning, organizing, painting, small building projects. I also have skills in social media, website design-creation, bookkeeping, tourism, grant writing and business management.
