Hey, I'm Jake! I'm 20 years old from Melbourne Australia and I'm about to embark on my first solo travel adventure. I'm seeking experiences of all varieties with places, people and nature that will hopefully shape me into a better person than ever before. My goal is to spend 1+ year travelling in South America, bouncing from country to country whilst on a budget. I'm not looking for a luxury tourist holiday, I'm seeking work and a sense of community, I want to fully immerse myself in whatever culture and lifestyle I end up at. From connecting with strangers by sharing stories and emotions, to animals, plants and the land we walk on. I am driven to live a fulfilling life and to find identity in the crazy world we live in. Being a workawayer grants me access to experience life in unique and unpredictable way which is what I love. I'm seeking an adventure, persevering through challenges, and stories to bring home and share with others.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I love working with people, especially those who are down to earth. I'm quite flexible with being able to work and communicate with people from all walks of life. At home I work as a disability support worker and as a groundskeeper. I enjoy the disability support work because it revolves around human interaction and building relationships with people, especially with those who find it hard to make friends and build relationships normally.
The 2 years of groundskeeping experience has given me skills of landscaping, gardening, and operating with a variety of machinery. I love working outdoors, particularly with gardening and machine operated grass mowers. Always nice getting up and working early to be able to relax by the afternoon.
