Description
We are a couple living in New York, both originally from California. Currently we’re traveling from March through September of 2025.
Iz works as a chef at a jazz club in Brooklyn. She likes baking bread and coming up with new recipes. She's always looking for new types of food and restaurants to try. She likes to surf and swim and generally be in a body of water as much as possible.
Katy works as a paralegal for a public interest law nonprofit and a farmers market. She likes spending time outdoors, hiking, and is learning how to garden. She has experience as a home cook and working in a summer camp’s kitchen, making meals for up to 700 people at a time with a team of other cooks. Katy is learning Spanish and always looking for opportunities to practice.
We love to play music together, travel and explore new places, cook, and be outside. We both have lots of experience caring for children - Iz has worked as a coach and a daycare teacher, and Katy as a nanny and a camp counselor.
We're hoping to do work that teaches us about how to live sustainably, grow food and care for the natural environment. Workaways with pets/animals is a big bonus :)
