Hello friends!
I am a 27 y/o woman from the US, beginning some travels in early 2025. New to Workaway, but I have some experience working/living with host families abroad-- I spent 8 months working and farming in Senegal after graduating high school, and studied abroad in Paris, FR during university.
I'm a warm, thoughtful, person-- passionate about sustainable farming, fighting climate change, creating meaningful community, and enjoying the little pleasures life has to offer!
I really look forward to meeting you, my hosts! It is a generous and courageous thing to welcome a stranger into your home, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to work and learn alongside you, share meals, and see your corner of the world.

Je parle assez de français pour les communications simples et pratique, mais j'aimerais bien devenir quelqu'un capable des conversations plus complexes, interessantes, et amusantes! Donc, je cherche une opportunité d'immersion totale-- idéalement, les hôtes qui peuvent me faire sortir de ma coquille, être patient, et corriger mes erreurs.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have over a year of experience working on low-/no-till, small organic vegetable farms, so I have a good grasp on all the phases of production: bed preparation, seeding, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, etc. On these farms I have also raised and cared for egg-laying and meat chickens.
I have some familiarity with power tools (drills, drivers, circular saws) and am very interested in developing more DIY/carpentry skills.
Before farming, I worked in film/tv production in NYC for two years. It is very physically-demanding and collaborative work, much like farming!
Other little things: I am a very decent home cook, a good listener, a strong writer, and generally a creative/crafty person!
