Hi! I’m Isabelle :)
I’m 24 and originally from Sicily, with an English mum and Italian dad — so I grew up bilingual and with a mix of cultures. I also speak French and a bit of Spanish, and I’d love to keep improving it through everyday conversation and connection.
I’m a curious, open-hearted person who loves learning by doing and getting involved in meaningful projects. What draws me most is the chance to be part of communities that care — about the planet, each other, and living in a more intentional, grounded way.
I’m especially interested in permaculture, bioconstruction, and community living, as well as projects focused on female empowerment and shared, hands-on learning. I don’t have much experience yet, but I’m genuinely motivated to grow, help where I can, and learn through doing.
I’m vegetarian and value simple, healthy, conscious living. I’m also hoping to learn how to surf and spend some time near the ocean (and the mountains!).
I’m planning to be in South America between October and December, and would love to connect with projects during that time. I’m easygoing, respectful, and excited to share, learn, and contribute however I can!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

During university in northern Italy (Verona), I spent five months on La Réunion island — an experience that really changed how I see myself, people, and the world. It was one of the most meaningful times of my life and made me even more curious and open to different ways of living.
Since I was a kid, I’ve enjoyed repairing things and building simple home furniture — I love practical, hands-on tasks and figuring things out as I go. I'm adaptable and genuinely enjoy making the most of new situations. After six years away, I recently returned to Sicily without high expectations and ended up finding beautiful connections, meaningful moments, and new ways to contribute. I got involved in local volunteering — like beach clean-ups, helping organize events for an immigration center, and even working as an interpreter during a humanitarian aid mission to Gaza.
Wok-wise I’ve been in a chalet in the Italian Alps and in a language school in Siracusa, and during an internship in Paris, I focused on language-related work — which helped me improve my communication skills and adaptability in an international environment. I’m comfortable in fast-paced settings, good with people, and happy to help where I can.
Overall, I bring a strong work ethic, a sense of care, and a willingness to learn and contribute — especially in community-focused settings.
