Hey there! I'm a 20 year old exchange student to New Zealand from Scotland making the most of my time here. I study biology, so I really enjoy nature, being outdoors and learning new things. Wherever I go, I enjoy making friends and chatting to everyone, and am always keen to hear about your day. Auckland is a very serious city, so I'm hoping to explore the rest of NZ and see what it has to offer. I grew up in Switzerland, so I'm fluent in German as well as English, but my French could use some work haha. When I'm not in class, I enjoy surfing, running, reading, visiting museums, and hanging out with my friends. I've just started rock climbing, so I'd love some pointers. I think of myself as easy going and spontaneous, and I'd like to think other people agree.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I worked at a summer camp last summer, so I've got good child care and outdoor skills. I'm fluent in two languages (English and German) and I'm a patient teacher. At the University of Auckland I'm studying Ecology, which gives me good biological knowledge, so ask me anything about animals and I'm your girl. I've worked as a cook, waitress, barista and bartender, which makes me very adept in the kitchen. I've got a dog at home, and like I said, I know a lot about animals, so I'm great with pets. I'm a tall and athletic person, and don't mind hard work, so if there's any manual labour needing doing, I'm your girl! It'll be more interesting than the gym anyway. My mum has a garden that she has me tend to back home, so I'm also a seasoned gardener. I'm very chatty too, so if there's ever a lull in conversation I'll fill it.

My favourite pass-time is trying out new things and pushing my comfort zone. I enjoy skiing in the winter and surfing in the summer, and hiking year round. When I'm indoors, I usually have a book in hand and music playing (I love beabadoobee). My friends back home would play DnD together, so I'd love to join in on someone's campaign. I really enjoy cooking, although for convenience I usually prep all my meals for the week at once. My signature dish is a banging lasagne. I've been volunteering at second hand shops for a couple years now, since I love knickknacks and I like to get first pick of the cool clothes. My flatmates and I usually unwind by playing wii or playstation, but I can't say I'm particularly fierce competition.
