Hey :D
We are Niclas (22) and Doro (23), we both live in the eastern German city of Leipzig and met each other during Highschool in 2019.
We study at university and are very open minded people who are keen to have fun travelling together and meeting people from all around the world.
What motivated us travelling with workaway is the opportunity to experience living in another country under completely different circumstances than simply going on vacation. This is Niclas first experience with Workaway and Doro's second one. A balance between working and experiencing life in different parts of the world is what we strive for and we would love to help out wherever possible.
Since we know each other pretty well we decided to describe each other in our profile to give you an authentic description of who we really are.
Niclas
Niclas and I have been friends for 6 years, needless to say he is one of my best friends and I am absolutely fascinated by his kindness and intellect. He has multiple strengths but the one that stand out the most for me in the context of doing Workaway is his ability to analyse situations in a very strategic and efficient way that allows one to work fast and reflect on mistakes that may happen. This is helpful in order to constantly improve. He also is and works incredibly tidy and volunteers in "University politics" meaning that he helps fellow students with their studies and organizes University related events.
Overall Niclas is the most extroverted person I know and a people magnet. Prepare yourself to love him!:)
Doro
Ever since meeting Doro in August of 2019 and becoming friends we lived through many stages of life together. Maturing together meant experiencing each other in many ways, enriching and uncomfortable, and even at our lowest points Doro was trying to cheer everyone up. This characteristic is what makes Doro a true blessing to be around. When Doro enters a room she fill it with life. Additionally Doro is very hardworking and truly strives for perfection in her work. When she puts her mind onto something it will be done in the best way possible and I admire her for that. If you’ll get to meet Doro you will notice that her spirit and soul truly shine bright.

I (Doro) am majoring in education at university and will be a teacher of the English and German language. I therefore would be able to teach both languages. Niclas however would also be able to teach both languages.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Niclas is a very outgoing person that gets along with absolutely every soul on earth. He is also a perfectionist and tries his best with every job that is given to him, even if it is something he has never done before. He has profound knowledge in everything that is related to biology or chemistry (he studies biochemistry at university) that might come in handy when working in a garden or with farm animals. Other skills that he can offer are experiences working as a barista, cooking, baking and cleaning.
I (Doro) can also offer skills such as cooking, baking and cleaning.
I've had one Workaway experience two years ago in which I painted walls, rebuilt a chicken coop, took care of the animals on the property and did some gardening. I also have experiences babysitting my little sister (she is 7 years old now) and in general working with kids, as I did an internship at an elementary school last summer (for one month). I also am a very artistic person, I like to draw, pain, sew and am also interested in photography and in everything that is creative.
We both of course are willing to learn new skills and are adaptable :D
