Description
Hello everyone! My name is Ilaria, and I'm a 29-year-old Italian girl. In November 2023, I realized that I was not happy and didn't know what my purpose in life was. So, I decided to give everything up and challenge myself by leaving all my certainties in Italy, such as my job, car, house, and loved ones. Over these months, I have gained awareness about myself and who I am, but I still haven't found my path. I decided to embark on a journey with no return date to give myself time to experiment, learn, and gain new insights about myself and how I can create a positive impact on the world. For this reason, I have planned part of a long itinerary that will begin with the Camino de Santiago, continue with Costa Rica, Australia, southeast asian and then who knows.
I decided to join this platform to connect with local people, offer my help with enthusiasm and goodwill, learn as much as possible, and embrace new challenges. I hope to be the person you're looking for!Centres d’intérêt

I completed a basic Spanish course in 2024 and noticed that I learn it easily. I would love to speak it fluently because it has always been a language I liked. One of my favorite music genres is reggaeton, and perhaps this helps me pick up the vocabulary quickly! I had the opportunity to speak a lot with native spanish speaker and at the moment I feel comfortable to speak it :)Compétences et connaissances que j'aimerais partager ou apprendre

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I am a biologist, and over the years, I have explored various jobs both within and outside my field, as well as volunteer activities such as helping at my city's animal shelter, working as a children's entertainer, and assisting in building a house for the homeless. In the past year, I taught chemistry at an international high school.
The soft skills I have developed through my experiences include organization and planning, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a positive attitude towards challenges. I enjoy being a supportive person for those I interact with, both practically and, more importantly, emotionally. I dislike competition and love collaboration!Âge

I am currently looking for opportunities in Costa Rica, which will be the second stop on my journey. I chose this destination after reading a novel that sparked my curiosity about the country and the values that guide its people. I hope to embrace these values, at least in part. I would like to continue improving my Spanish, help in the field of animal welfare, which has always been my passion, and also try my hand at support or front office roles. My kind, helpful, enthusiastic, and proactive nature could be an asset in welcoming guests at tourist establishments. I am very curious about the care and cultivation of plants and am open to experiences that enrich me in this area, which I did not explore in depth during my biology studies. In general, I am open to all kinds of experiences compared to those I have had so far, and I am very eager to challenge myself :)

The town is peaceful, though a bit noisy at times, and it offers a glimpse into the real Costa Rica—not the touristy side, but the authentic local… read more
