Hello! My name is Guilherme - or you can just call me Gui -, I'm a brazilian Erasmus student that's been staying in Europe for a year and I signed up for Workaway to expand my learning experiences, further develop skills and share meaningful moments with real people around the world. I love to listen and understand not just people, but what they need and how can I help. Since I was a kid I had a deep desire to learn about anything and everything, and this has led me to graduate as an Eletronics Technician along with High School, to enter the International Relations carreer in University, to learn four languages and to become a Yoga Teacher.

I believe volunteering is yet another step for me in this journey, and I'm extremely keen to start and be helpful in different ways, to people who really need it and can share their lifes with me for a few days or weeks.

I always loved and had an easy time with languages. In my Erasmus in Czech Republic it was often the case that I would speak at least 3 languages per day (usually English, Portuguese and Spanish), sometimes even 5, including French and Czech if I met some of my friends who like to speak those. Currently I'm working on getting fluent in French, which I understand very well and can communicate, but in the meantime I also want to learn the beaultiful Italian language. I know some Czech because I've been living in the Czech Republic and I think it's an interesting knowledge in the Slavic Languages spectrum, but my main focus now is Italian and French.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm very open to follow instructions and learn specifically what you need me to do and how. I really like to do things well and with quality, specially if I know it is the correct way to do it. I work well in groups and have no problem with hard work. I also have a considerable knowledge about computers and eletronics, because I did a technical course in this area when I was at high school. Today I work as a Yoga Teacher and I study International Relations in University.

On that note, communication, multiculturality, contact with nature, diversity of knowledge and international contexts are some of my strong suits. I also love to play guitar and flute (I have a bamboo one that I always carry), to cook many kinds of recipes and be frequently learning new things, for real! It is almost an addiction, because having new habilities makes me feel very happy and alive. Currently I'd like to learn more how to do gardning and build things.

Apart from the practical information I've putted already, I'm also a world traveller. Workaway is a plataform that I believe can open doors to important experiences in this path, to meet people who can teach and share many important things for my future. That's my main objective here, to experience, evolve and make great memories.
