  • Description

I'm originally from California and most recently spent Aug 2022 to Sep 2023 traveling around the states and learning as much as I could about animal husbandry, gardening, and communal living. I landed in Asheville, NC at the tailend of 2023 and have been here ever since. It's the first place that has really felt like home in a long time.

While I love the area where I live, I am seeking more connection to the land, to myself, and to community. I have fallen in love with herbalism and am always eager to learn more about plants and our connection to them. I currently work on a flower farm, which I absolutely love. I have learned so much about tending to the land, figuring out things as I go, and experimenting. It's been a lot of fun.

As of right now, my biggest plans/goals/dreams are to hike the Camino in Portugal before bopping around to various Workaway's in Europe to learn all that I can about cultures other than my own, permaculture, food forests, and truly living in harmony with earth's cycles.

Thus far via Workaway, I've learned to care for goats, chickens, horses, and cows, as well as tend a garden, build compost piles, grow food and flowers, and more. I would love to learn more about fermenting, foraging, herbalism, animal husbandry, gardening, composting toilets, off-grid living, building, and truly being in touch with the land in which I am living (in any given area). Ultimately, I am looking for a good balance of gratifying work, connection, and space to explore.

    Let's connect :)

Plus de détails sur les langues qui m'intéressent
I have always had interest in language and would love to learn as much as possible. Ideally I would like to learn 2-4 languages. Currently I speak and understand some Spanish, but have little experience with any other languages. That said, I have my TEFL certificate and am open to the possibility of teaching English.

  • Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have acquired a wide array of skills from animal husbandry, composting, art/DIY projects, and customer service, to teaching/instruction. I can use basic tools, like a hammer, drill, sander, paintbrush, level, tape measure, etc., but I am by no means an expert. I've also been taught how to drive a tractor.

I grew up riding horses, taking care of cats & dogs, and performing a job as a kennel technician in a veterinary hospital for a short while; I am comfortable and very much enjoy taking care of animals. Originally, I went to university to be a Veterinarian; only after four years, I realized that path was not for me. However, my love for animals remains intact.

I am an avid crafter and would love to turn this hobby into a practical skill via restoration, refurbishing, carpentry, or building. I take instruction well and am working on being more of a jack of all trades.

Ultimately, I am a nature-loving quick learner who enjoys working with my hands, learning new skills, and seeing projects completed. I aim to become more skilled in gardening, building, refurbishing, cooking, animal husbandry, and sustainable living, but I am open to many opportunities.

  • Autres infos...

As far as hobbies go, I have more than one person could ever need; however, at some point I am looking to take up bee keeping, woodworking, and weaving.

My current hobbies include outdoorsy things (hiking, camping, climbing, surfing, etc.), I also love to roller skate, and enjoy things like reading, writing, crocheting, sewing, and macramé. At some point I'd like to revisit ceramics.

To me, movement is medicine. I love basically any activity that allows me to explore movement in an unconventional way. I tend to enjoy a loose routine and spend most of my mornings in quiet contemplation--often reading or writing--before taking on the day. I love good company, as well as solitude, and being outdoors. Right now I am focusing on having little to no expectations other than to explore, connect, and learn something new.

Looking forward to beginning this next chapter of life.

    Happy trails!
