Description

One of the things that brings me is most happiness is being outdoors, whether it be working with the land, exploring, learning - all of these things feel so grounding when I'm out in nature. I especially love cold water swimming.

Connecting with other individuals also brings me so much joy. Over food, around a fire, in the early morning - sharing moments of our human experience is beyond special to me and makes me who I am. However, I also find a lot of solace in time alone. I love reading, writing and making music. Both the times of connection with others, and alone with myself are invaluable to such things.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- gardening: still developing my skills here and am very keen to learn more - I have volunteered in my local community garden for the past 6 months or so.
- cooking
- music: I love singing and can play guitar - this is something I'm happy to share/teach if people are interested!
- childcare: I have worked with children in many different setting over the past few years (afterschool kids club, as a Gaelic singing teacher, in a children's home, forest school). I love being in their company and feel there is so much to learn.
- strong communication skills
- hard worker, good time keeping skills & organised (have worked freelance as an artist manager, tour manager and agent)
- enthusiastic, warm and open
- hospitality: I have lots of restaurant and bar experience, though the hustle and bustle of this is something I'd like to take some time away from.

One of the main things I'm searching for is time in nature with other like-minded people. I really want to learn more about gardening - especially permaculture and growing food. I have spent the past five years living in the city (Glasgow) studying Philosophy, then working full time as a music teacher, musician and waitress amidst other pieces of work. It has been an amazing but somewhat crazy time. I grew up rurally on the Isle of Skye and feel I am being called back to my roots - rural living, a slower pace of life and a strong sense of culture, community, respect and understanding of the land around me and family.
