Hi everyone! I'm Giulia, Italian, looking to travel and have some meaningful volunteering experiences before starting a new job. I'm a seasoned traveller trying to discover new places and nature :)

Description
Hello :) after many solo and group trips that brought me around the world, I decided to travel but with a purpose.
I come from a small town in south Italy where I've always been in contact with nature, friendly and smiley people, and lots of animals (including family farms and pets). After spending so long in the city (I live and work in Brussels), I'm missing a life where you're in contact with simple things, with nature and with the love and care that only animals can give. That is why I'm taking a little break and looking to volunteer around the world, to travel and make new experiences while contributing to a project.
I'm a really friendly person with lots of energy and a big creative side. I like DIY, painting and drawing, I also sing and love dancing and theater! I am happy to work with my hands, and physical work does not scare me at all: the more I can contribute to fixing stuff, building new things, helping with plants... the better. I also like to learn new things and I would love to learn new ways of gardening, farming, and living in communities. I can also promise a lot of Italian cooking skills!
Most of all, I'm looking for a way to reconnect with the outdoors and with precious lives (animals). I absolutely love cats, and I adore dogs as well as other animals. At home I currently have chickens and in the past my grandfather has always had pigs, sheep and cows too. I also have 2 beautiful jack russels at home, and nearby my house, in the countryside, there is a feline colony that I often interact with.
I fluently speak English and Italian, and I have a very good level of Spanish (I already travelled in Spain and South America by myself) and French (I live in a francophone country). That should ensure that we can always communicate somehow :D
I'm looking for an opportunity to volunteer in a place that is disconnected from the chaos of cities, and that can bring me back closer to the seaside and/or mountains. Moreover, I'm not a huge party person, and I'd rather spend a chill evening in good company and occasionally going out, but my priority is to be well rested and functioning to help out in the project and to visit my surroundings. All in all, I'm trying to make unforgettable memories and reconnecting to humans, animals and nature in a way that we all seem to have forgotten!
Thanks for reading so far, and I really hope we could chat a bit more on how I can contribute to your projects and missions :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I'm a very energetic person and I can give a hand with anything that needs to be done in a farm, or at an animal shelter. I'm ok with getting dirty and I can use tools, fix things, paint and do DIY in general. I can also take care of animals and feed them, pet them, help cleaning premises and organize the space so that they are happy and healthy. I also love taking care of plants and gardens: I can use tools to work the ground, cut plants when needed, and chop wood. If there's something I can't do - just show me once and I'll learn!
