I'm looking forward to Europe in Jul-Aug (spain and portugal) and Africa in Sep-Oct (Morocco and Tanzania). My keen interests are teaching kids and learning sustainable farming, FOOD, new cultures!!

Hi there. My name is Geetika! I love experiencing different cultures and really want to start doing it living with the locals and giving back to society.

I'm born and raised in Delhi, India and worked in New York City for 10 years. I have 11 years of experience in Business Consulting and Data Analytics - I wanted to step away from corporate world and use my skills in places that would bring much more value to others and to me. I volunteered for almost 2 years starting April 2022.

-- Colombia for 2 months and taught english to kids and adults and in exchange learnt spanish. I also helped the school with revenue growth strategy. It was in New Western School, Acacias.
-- Lived in an off-grid community in Portugal (near Castello Branco) for 2 weeks and helped set up water connection
-- Helped in organic and regenerative farming for a month in Spain (near Granada) using Comfrey tea and organic fertilizers.
-- Taught english for 3 weeks in Morocco in British English Academy
-- Helped with farming, and operations in Sristi, Pondicherry - a community for intellectually disabled - for a month
-- Taught english and arts to intellectually disabled kids in Hanoi, Vietnam for a month
-- Volunteered in Krishnamurti foundation in UK (Brockwood school)

I would love to teach kids, help with sustainable farming, and building growth strategies for the wonderful small initiatives that need more visibility and immerse myself in the nature and culture across this beautiful land.

There is a lot of unfair divide on this land and if we all come together and help each other then we can do wonders. I want to start it right away and from what I have heard this platform really does a good job in connecting people - hosts and volunteers.

I'm a people's person and love learning new things and sharing knowledge through interesting ways. If you would ask my family and friends about me, I trust they say Geetika is a positive, cheerful and empathetic person who puts her soul in whatever she does.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

For the past 10+ years, I have been in consulting and growth strategy for multinational companies.
I can help with teaching english, math and computers across ages and also help with strategizing growth and marketing of your initiative.
Also I'm passionate about dance and can teach bollywood style and various warm up sessions.
I'm a quick learner and excited to learn about plants, farming, animals and interact with different cultures.

Card and Board games are my favorite - Catan, Monopoly, Ludo, Chess, Exploding Kittens and various card games.
I have a huge tight-knit family and spend a lot of my time with family and friends. I usually gel along with all age groups - from kids to grand parents - and various cultures havi friends in New York from all backgrounds.
I would be lucky if I'm able to bring a positive dent to society through this journey of mine with you.
